Unknown Worlds has published the Subnautica 2 Early Access roadmap. Development is planned across several major updates:

Phase 1 (Current — EA Launch)

  • ▸All base survival systems

    • Phase 2 (Planned)

  • ▸New ocean region: The Abyss Shelf
  • ▸New vehicle (teased, not named)

    • **Full Release:** Estimated 2028 at the earliest per the development team.

    The team emphasized that Early Access content is already "substantial" with dozens of hours of gameplay, but the full story and all planned biomes are not yet implemented.
