Getting Started: First 30 Minutes

Everything you need to do immediately after your lifepod hits the water.

Step 1 — Don't Drown

Your first priority is oxygen. Stay near your lifepod and collect resources from the shallow floor around it. You start with 45 seconds of O2 — enough for quick dips.

Step 2 — Scan Everything

Your Scanner is your best tool early on. Scan every piece of debris, every creature, every plant. Blueprints unlock automatically once you've scanned enough fragments.

Priority scans:

  • Repair Tool fragments (2 required) — in the crash debris around your lifepod
  • Habitat Builder fragments (3 required) — slightly further out
  • O2 Tank fragments for upgrades
  • Step 3 — Build a Small Base

As soon as you have the Habitat Builder, build a starter base near your lifepod:

  • 1× I-Corridor
  • 1× Fabricator
  • 2× Storage Lockers
  • 1× Solar Panel on the roof
  • This base gives you a fast crafting station and safe storage so you stop losing resources on death.

Step 4 — Craft These First

    In order of priority:

    1. Scanner (if not already crafted)

    2. Repair Tool

    3. Fins — massive speed improvement

    4. High Capacity O2 Tank (requires Modification Station fragments first)

    5. Seaglide

    Step 5 — Explore Gradually

Extend your range in concentric circles from your lifepod. The ocean depth increases as you go further out. Don't rush into 200m+ territory without an O2 upgrade.
