Where Silver Spawns

Silver Ore appears as grey-white metallic veins on rock outcroppings. Unlike titanium (which is everywhere), silver requires a little more targeted searching.

Best locations:

  • Grassy Plateaus caves (50–200m): The most reliable early source. Drop into cave entrances in the Grassy Plateaus — silver nodes cluster inside.
  • Limestone Plateau outcroppings: Mixed with copper and gold, approximately 80–150m depth.
  • Sparse Reef rock faces: Lower density but accessible without deep O2 upgrades.
  • Crash Zone debris: Occasionally found in sealed storage containers.
  • How to Farm Efficiently

    1. Craft a Seaglide before your silver run — covering ground quickly is key.

    2. Use the Bioscanner — silver nodes highlight distinctly from copper.

    3. Enter cave systems in the Grassy Plateaus at 100–150m. One cave system can yield 8–12 silver nodes per sweep.

    4. Return to the same caves after ~20 in-game days — resources respawn.

    What Silver Is Used For

    Silver is needed for:

  • Wiring Kit (1× silver + 2× copper) — used in almost everything
  • Computer Chip (1× silver + 1× gold + 2× copper)
  • Beacon (1× silver + 1× copper)
  • Bioscanner (2× silver)
  • Stock up on silver early. You'll need 10–15 ore just to get through the first crafting tier.
