About Conduit Crystal in Subnautica 2

Conduit Crystals are the gate between early-game and mid-game progression. They look like ordinary quartz formations at first, but the bioluminescent glow distinguishes them once you know what you're looking for. They're the sole material for the Sonic Resonator — without which the Tadpole Pens remain locked, numerous alien facility doors stay sealed, and a significant portion of the story stalls.

How to Farm Conduit Crystal Efficiently

The Crystal Caves biome below 300m is the primary source. The cave entrances are not marked — you're looking for areas where standard rock formations transition into a more crystalline, faintly glowing geometry. A depth-upgraded Seamoth is strongly recommended. Budget extra oxygen because the caves are disorienting.

Advanced Notes

Conduit Crystals respawn, but slowly. If you need them in bulk for both the Sonic and Feedback Resonators, identify at least two separate Crystal Caves node clusters. Some alien ruin areas also have Conduit Crystal formations as environmental decoration — these are harvestable.
